Denver’s terrible defense

Right now the Denver Broncos are leading their division (at 5-4) despite ranking 28th of 32 teams in points allowed.  I have to wonder if a team has ever won it’s division despite leading the league in most points given up.  Only in the NFL

    The Broncos live down to billing, losing at home to Oakland 31-10, the Raiders being the same team that was averaging 6.5 points on offense over the last six weeks. Denver is now 28th of 32 teams in points allowed. Denver’s winning record is not officially a crime against organized sports.
